Mr. Bruce McWilliams, Vice President and head of the ISS Middle East Office, has been an overseas teacher, principal and school head for 24 years with 21 years of experience in the Middle East in schools in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates. He was the founding Head of Riffa Views International School - Bahrain, and oversaw the development of the school at The King Abdullah University of Science and Technology – Saudi Arabia. Mr. McWilliams has a proven track record in developing and opening new schools. He is the co-author of the ISS Handbook for Establishing New Overseas Schools and the recipient of the European Council of International Schools, "Promotion of International Education" award. He also currently heads The World Language Initiative, which offers a completely unique, world-class Arabic language curriculum with accompanying teacher training programs.
Dr. Robert Ambrogi, EdD, Vice President School Management, has more than 30 years of experience in international schools abroad, and has served as Head of School in Cameroon, Liberia, Portugal, Pakistan and South Africa. Dr. Ambrogi has served on the Boards of the Association of International Schools in Africa (AISA), Mediterranean Association of International Schools (MAIS) and Near East-South Asia (NESA). In 2002 he received a Certificate of Appreciation from the U.S. Department of State for his pioneering work in the NESA Virtual School, and in 2003 was selected as the AAIE Superintendent of the Year. He is in his 10th year at ISS and has recently started up ISS-managed schools in the Republic of Congo and Madagascar.
