Vision International School is accepting inquiries from prospective students for the new school year. It is important to note that VIS follows an American grading sequence. In order to be eligible for admissions, Pre-Kindergarten (Pre-KG) children must be three years old by September 30th, four years old for Pre-Kindergarten (KG1) and five years old for Kindergarten (KG2), and so on through the grade levels. All prospective students will be required to sit for an admissions test as well as submit previous school records and a completed Previous School Report for your child’s current school prior to their acceptance to VIS. In lieu of this testing, Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten children will be assessed individually.
VIS is unable to service children with moderate or severe behavioral or learning difficulties. VIS can only enroll children who are determined to be capable of achieving success given the rigorous academic program and college preparatory nature of the school program.
Additionally, except for children in Pre-K and Kindergarten, all children applying to enroll in VIS will be expected to demonstrate reasonable competency in the English language. In the higher grades, especially from Grade 3 and up they should be proficient in the English language.
Commencing in September 2016 Grade 10 will be added and additional grades will be added each year thereafter. Classes are co-ed in Pre-KG, KG1 and Kindergarten (KG2). Classes become separated by gender from Grades 1 and up.
